Found this well worn recipe in our great Grandma’s recipe book. Jamie remembers eating these in her kitchen.

1 egg

1 1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup soft butter

1/2 tsp nutmeg

1 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp vanilla

1 1/4 cup flour

3/4 cup fresh cranberries

BUTTER GLAZE: In saucepan over low heat, stir in 1/2 cup soft butter, 1 cup powdered sugar, 1/3 cup heavy whipping cream. Remove from heat until glaze thickens to desired consistency.

Mix together egg, sugar and butter. Add in nutmeg, cinnamon and vanilla. Sift in flour and cranberries. Mixture will be thick. Pour in greased 8×8 pan. Cook 45 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool, add glaze.
