Cinnamon Roll Dough:

1 cup warm milk

1/2 cup + 1 Tbsp sugar

1 Tbsp yeast

2 large eggs room temperature

6 Tbsp melted butter

1 tsp vanilla extract

4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp sea salt

1 tsp ground cinnamon

Cinnamon Sugar Filling:

1 cup brown sugar (packed)

2 1/2 Tbsp ground cinnamon

6 Tbsp softened butter


4 cups powdered sugar

1 cup soft butter

Pinch of salt

1/2 vanilla bean scrapped

1/4 cup buttermilk


Using a standing mixer fitted with the dough hook, add about 1/3 of the dry ingredients at a time, mixing after each addition. Add cinnamon sugar filling ingredients to a bowl and combine with a fork. Spread mixture onto dough with hands and a greased spatula. Allow cinnamon rolls to rise overnight in the refrigerator. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. While still warm, add icing on top.
